website/album update
i am still working on the new site as well as the new record. its going slowly. i cant even say when the record will be finished. please check back in every once in a while to make sure i'm not looking at porn instead of working. i appreciate it. also, my friend Scorch will be playing at the Joint on Pico and Robertson in L.A. on Saturday feb. 15 at 9:00pm. i will be there so feel free to come by and buy me a drink. out

new website coming
i am in the process of re-designing my website so i can fit more stuff on it like naked photos etc. there will be poetry, paintings, love and madness. the new album will also be available and all songs are guaranteed. still trying to learn the f'in program and finish the record at the same time. love and sideburns descending, brendt

NEW CD RELEASE UPDATE FOR MOTHERS
All the reports about the release of the "overblind" EP have been erroneous. I have decided to start work on all new songs to release as soon as they are finished. I am now in the studio laying down the tracks to an EP tentatively to be called "Factory Of Obscurity Presents Brendt J Dickey"
It may be be in stores at the beginning of 2003, or I may decide to just take a nap or maybe start painting again.

record release/in the studio again
Factory of Obscurity Records will be releasing Brendts EP "Overblind" at the end of October. It will initially be available for purchase here on the website. Brendt is currently in the studio at work on his next record to be released in December. Please stay tuned cause I heard some of his new stuff and it's his best work to date! R. Facial

you can listen to a new recording of Gay Mr.Tandy on mp3.com if you need a fix. We did the song at Rob Laufer's studio w/ Rob producing and playing some guitar and organ, Dan Rothchild playing Bass and Dan Potruch on drums. The neighbor kid came by to play the sax. Thanks to Derek "Hulk" Keller for covertly submitting and designing the site.

ohio tour
we just finished the Ohio shows in Columbus and Bowling Green. I opened for Scorch and had an insane time. Need to thank Scorch for putting me on the tour. Also thanks to the guys we stayed with: Ryan, Pos, Bill and Greg. Thanks to Scorch and Jeff as well for being such cool guys to hang with. We will be hitting Ohio again very soon and also working our way East into Pittsburgh. I'm in Pennsylvania now working on some new stuff. Will anounce new L.A dates when i get back. out

brent is currently in the studio at work on his first full length cd. the record is being released on Factory Of Obscurity Records and is due out this summer. Rob Laufer is producing. Also appearing on the record are Dan Rothchild ( Sheryl Crow, Aimee Mann ,Tonic, Grant Lee Buffalo) on bass, and Dan Potruch (The Januaries, Keb Mo) on drums. The record will be available first right here on the website.
also, brent is planning to release an album of ultra rare home demos. the demos were done at brents home studio and will only be available here on the site. a must for the hardcore Dickey fan!
